The Pre-Columbian Society of Washington, D.C., hosts a monthly illustrated presentation, generally the first Friday evening of each month, by professionals who discuss their recent research. During the academic year—October through June—meetings are held at the historic Charles Sumner School Museum and Archives. Meetings begin at 6:45 with light snacks served. Visit the

During summer months, generally July through September, meetings are held at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center located at 4805 Edgemoor Lane, Bethesda, Maryland. No snacks are served at the Bethesda location.
 

Meetings are open to the public and free of charge. Members of the Society are welcome to join the speaker after the talk for dinner and further discussion at a local restaurant.
 

2011 Meeting Dates (tentatively): January 7, February 4, March 4, April 1, May 6, June 3, July 8 (second Friday), August 5, September 9 (second Friday), October 7, November 4, and December 2.
